Vacation

Well I am on vacation but I really can't enjoy it since I had to put my dog down on friday. I really miss him. The house seems empty without him. I keep expecting him to come out of his room and nudge me to take him out. I can't see me getting another dog unless it was a mutt. I still have another greyhound but I am afraid to bring anothter dog into the house. Not to mention that I am out of the house from 7:00 to 5:00 so it would have to be a special dog. He would also have to be a car dog. I use to have a dog name Brandy that loved being in the car. He liked it so much that even when you let him out he would jump in the window of the car and just lay down in the front seat. He loved riding in the car. He would just curl up in the seat and sleep as I drove. We use to go hiking in the woods together. He loved that running in the woods. Checking everything out. Well thats all for today.

Worse day

Today I had to put one of my dogs to sleep today. He seems to have had a stroke. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Of the two dogs he was the more affectionate of the two. He was the only who would wait to greet me when I came home. We had a routine. I would stand at the gate that divided the living room from the rest of the house... When I came in he would be standing there and howl a hello to me. Then we would go in the kitchen and I would get on the floor with him and I would ask him about his day. Then I would hug him and rub his chest. He loved that. When he wanted me to pat him he would come up to me and either jump up and put his paws on my shoulder and pull me down to him or he would put his head between my thighs and sigh as I would rub him head and neck. I use to get a kick out of rubbing his hind quarters and his legs would give out on him. Then I would stop and he would come back to me to do it all over again. He was the only one I would let sleep with me in bed. The only problem was he would lie on the bed and put his head on the same pillow as me and just look at me. We was a great dog. I will miss him a lot. I have been crying for the last hour and a half. So not one of my best days.

Frustrating

I was listening to a news program called The World on my way home from work today and there was an inordinate amount of stories on violence being perpetrated by people all over the world not just in the Middle East, under the blanket of their religion. But one of the stories was about the murder of Theo Van Gogh in the Nederland’s by a radical Muslim. I am having a major problem with how people in this day and age can murder their neighbor because they don't share a religious belief. I must have misunderstood my teaching on religion when they said love thy neighbor. Now a day it seems to be kill thy neighbor because they don't think like you. Which religion is it now that has the loving and compassionate God? Or perhaps he no longer exists and I didn't read the obit on his death. It is so frustrating that you can't reach in to these people’s minds and see what wiring problem they have and try to fix it. I would like to say I have sympathy for them but honestly there is no reason on earth for them to behave the way they do. Not in a world that is so intertwined like we are. It makes you want to become and isolationist. One can only wish that people would keep their religious beliefs in their homes because when they take out with them it seems to give them license to do what ever they want in the name of whatever sadistic God they pray to. I remember when one was to take solace and comfort in their God. Not anymore now is take a gun a bomb a knife or whatever instrument of destruction you can find and bring out with you..because it’s hunting season on the non believers.
That’s my gripe for today.

Sunday

Hey all....Boring day here ..not much happening...raining again for the 5th weekend in a row. But I am on vacation the week of Memorial Day so that have that to look forward to.
I was reading another person blog today about the public and how he is sick of dealing with them. I have been working the public for over 30 years..and they get worse and worse. There is no such thing as manners or courtesy at all anymore. And God forbid anyone show any appreciation when you bend over backward for them. I can't understand what has happen to us as a whole. I am sure there are many contributing factors. Perhaps with people they deem servants to them they feel they can focus there anger at the clerk because they can't do it at their job. Whatever the reason people need to wake up and look at how they treat others. Ok I will get off my soapbox. But other than that not to much to say. I have a link on my blog you should take a look at. It is called The World. It is a new site but they give a view of events you don't get from conventional news site. Well all have a good one... and Enjoy life

Saturday

Well I took my a neice and nephew to see Star Wars today. They loved it where as I like the second half but didn't like the first half. I don't know why he had to put so much humor into it. I think the story could have been better if they spent more time on the developement of the Darth Vader than the crappy funny things they put in. But that's just my opinion. Also it more a display of special effects and shortage on story line. other than that nothing major happen today. Staying in tonight..maybe watch a movie here. Since generally TV sucks. Well all have a great day or night. whichever is applicable to you at this time

Hey folks. Hope everyone is well. Well today was sort of slow. My frigging dogs ran off this morning so I had to be late for work to get them home. This is the first time they have done that. But it was still a pain in ass. So not much at work sort of boring. I was reading a story on the internet today about that guy they found on the beach in England. He was formally dressed but all the labels in his clothing were torn out. He refuse to talk to anyone. They gave him a piece of paper and pencil and he the drew a picture of a piano. They brought him into a room with a piano and he sat down and started to play. His picture was posted in all the papers but no one came forward to id him. Well it seem that a Polish gentlman reconized him as a street musician that he used play with on the streets of Poland. It hasn't been confirmed but I think it is odd they can't seem to get this man to talk. Well thats about all today. Everyone have a good one.

Hey folks...
this is my second day of blogging. I left work early today. I had a major migraine and couldn't focus. So I got some med and hopefully that will help with it.
I was listening to NPR this morning, a program called Morning Edition. They were doing a story on Blogging. It seems that there was a man who was driving home one day and stopped in a fastfood restaurant that had free wireless internet. So he went in and signed on. He created a blog about the Los Alamos (sp) Lab. It seems that the employees were disenchanted with working there and signed on to this guys blog and vented their displeasure. Well it caught the attention of Some Senator or Congressman. This resulted in the lab possibly being closed because of all the negative feedback that was left on the blog site. Makes you wonder who sees what on here and how much impact your opinions can have.
